Refund and Cancellation Policy

1. Subscription Plans
Bylaw offers subscription-based access to its HR compliance and document management platform. Plans include Free Trial, Essential, Enhanced, and Enterprise tiers, billed on a monthly or annual basis. Each plan includes specific features, document limits, and support levels as described on our Pricing page.
2. Cancellation Policy
You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings under the Subscription section. Upon cancellation, you will continue to have full access to all features of your current plan until the end of your current billing period. After the billing period ends, your account will revert to the Free plan with limited features. No further charges will be made after cancellation. You can reactivate your subscription at any time.
3. Refund Eligibility
We offer refunds under the following conditions: If you cancel within 14 days of your initial paid subscription (first-time subscribers only), you are eligible for a full refund. If you experience a significant service outage or technical issue that prevents you from using the platform for an extended period, you may be eligible for a prorated refund. If you were charged after cancelling your subscription due to a processing error, you are entitled to a full refund of the erroneous charge. Annual plan subscribers who cancel within the first 30 days of their annual billing cycle may request a prorated refund for the unused portion.
4. How to Request a Refund
To request a refund, please contact our support team through one of the following methods: email us at billing@bylawqa.com with your account email and the reason for your refund request; submit a request through the Contact Us page on our website; or reach out through the Support section in your dashboard. Please include your account email, subscription details, and the reason for your request to help us process it quickly.
5. Refund Processing
Approved refunds will be processed within 5-10 business days. Refunds will be issued to the original payment method used for the subscription. You will receive an email confirmation once the refund has been processed. Please note that your bank or payment provider may take additional time to reflect the refund in your account.
6. Non-Refundable Items
The following are not eligible for refunds: subscription fees beyond the 14-day initial cancellation window (for first-time subscribers) or 30-day window (for annual plans); marketplace template purchases from third-party sellers, as these are handled by the individual sellers; additional seat charges that have already been utilized during the billing period; and any promotional or discounted subscriptions, unless otherwise stated in the promotion terms.
7. Plan Downgrades
If you downgrade your subscription to a lower tier, the change will take effect at the end of your current billing period. You will not be charged the higher rate after the downgrade takes effect. No refund is issued for the remaining time on the higher-tier plan, as you continue to have access to those features until the period ends.
8. Enterprise Plan Cancellations
Enterprise plan subscriptions may have custom terms and conditions as outlined in your service agreement. Please refer to your enterprise agreement for specific cancellation and refund terms, or contact your account manager for assistance.
9. Disputes
If you believe a charge is incorrect or unauthorized, please contact us within 30 days of the charge at billing@bylawqa.com. We will investigate and resolve the issue promptly. We encourage you to contact us directly before filing a dispute with your payment provider, as we can typically resolve issues more quickly.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Refund and Cancellation Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or through the Service. The policy in effect at the time of your purchase or renewal will apply to that transaction.
